## Introduction to Reach Your People

Hello, and welcome to Reach Your People (RYP), a communication hub for blockchain projects!

We are here to connect users with projects they hold, are engaged with, or have interest in. We do this simply by connecting what is in your wallet with verified communities that would like to give you updates, without having to tell the projects anything about yourself.

Think of it as an automatic news subscription service that allows you to stay informed on everything you care about, without having to deal with subscribing or unsubscribing. The best thing about it is that not only will you remain up-to-date at all times, but you also get to choose where to receive your updates. You can set default notification channels like email, and set up important news to be sent to you via text message, for example.

RYP will keep you in touch with projects, simply because you have their NFT or token in your wallet. Beyond that, your stake pool (SPO) or delegated Representative (dRep) will be able to give you updates on their activity in the ecosystem and invite you to polls or other relevant opportunities.

Beyond just manually published news, you can also automatically get notifications about things that happen in the ecosystem on-chain. These are events such as new governance proposals, upcoming hard forks or if you stake pool suddenly retires. Never miss out on what happens.

If that sounds like a service you would like to benefit from, join us for free by signing up at

# Your account

An overview of your RYP account, and how you can get the most out of it.

## Introduction

On this page we will go over the main sections in your account and how you can leverage them to get your news and updates exactly where you want them and when you want them.

## Account areas

There are four main areas on your account page, serving different purposes. The main overview page labeled **Accounts**, the **Wallets** page, where you can configure your various blockchain wallets, the **Achievements** area to check on your rewards and accomplishments, and the **Premium** page that gives you all the tools to get even more out of RYP.

Find out more about each area on the following pages:

# Accounts

What is the accounts page and why do you need it.

rpose

The accounts overview page gives you a way to see all your connected wallets, social media and notification accounts in one place. You can see what is connected and what is not, and if there are any action items to take.

The overview page also provides you with a direct way to connect additional notification options or connect further social media accounts that you would like to be able to log in with or use for updates.

The following sections are available:

* First Steps
* Share RYP
* Linked accounts
* Connect additional accounts

## First Steps

The first steps guide appears at the top of the page and helps you guide through getting your account set up and discover the app with clear instructions and information.

Once you have completed all steps or done all you were interested in learning, you can close it by clicking the button in the bottom right.

## Share Reach Your People with your friends

Reach Your People is naturally more effective and relevant, the more people use it. That is why we are automatically generating a referral link for you that you can use to onboard other people. Simply share your link with them, and if they sign up, you are leveling up your [achievements](/your-account/achievements)!

{% hint style="success" %}
During the beta phase, every referral (up to a maximum of 50) will also give you one additional entry into the respective months NFT giveaway. Your referred friend gets an entry for signing up as well. The following giveaways will be active:
{% endhint %}

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-cover data-type="files"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><h2>July</h2></td><td></td><td></td><td><a href="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2F5IyoIhlUuDGn2nF855nn%2Fryp-raffle-spacebudz.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=8010a3e3-a850-41ac-ab0e-f048cc616cac">ryp-raffle-spacebudz.jpg</a></td></tr><tr><td><h2>August</h2></td><td></td><td></td><td><a href="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FmHxADdASAegkccNVI3N6%2Fryp-raffle-omen.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=9e3f5794-4591-4ba9-a0ac-7ae5830e66f6">ryp-raffle-omen.jpg</a></td></tr><tr><td><h2>September</h2></td><td></td><td></td><td><a href="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FDPT0NpNRJayWkPWb5zI3%2Fryp-raffle-tavernsquad.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=aafba77c-486f-436a-aa14-ed770006eb83">ryp-raffle-tavernsquad.jpg</a></td></tr></tbody></table>

## Your Linked Accounts

The list of your current accounts and connected notification systems lets you see the status of each type, as well as provides additional options.

Each type may have zero or more tags indicating its status and capabilities, like "Default for notifications" or "No notifications" for wallets that cannot receive notifications at all.

Clicking on the three dots next to an account will give you the following additional options, depending on the type and status.

<figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FzH2c1kMXZZaK88tT6764%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=ed092161-495f-4769-94ab-25694188d5c1" alt="An image showing two linked accounts in RYP, one Discord account and a wallet, with the three dot icon of the Discord account being highlighted" width="375"><figcaption><p>Click the three dots for additional options on each account.</p></figcaption></figure>

### Make default notification account

If the account type can receive notifications, you can set it up to be the default recipient for any announcement and updates from projects. Any project for which you not have set up custom notifications using the UI shown below will use this account for notifications going forward.

<figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FiaNQkFjZ8e1wmaiFD76W%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=77611691-6fa5-4476-8853-c17846994993" alt="" width="375"><figcaption><p>The project notification settings dialog on a project can be used<br>to configure the specific notifications that will be sent<br>when receiving updates from a project.</p></figcaption></figure>

### Test notification

Certain account types that can receive notifications allow you to test the connectivity status using this capability.

### Resubscribe

If you have an account for which due to regulatory compliance a global unsubscribe capability is offered (like email or text messages), you may find your account has been unsubscribed intentionally or accidentally by you. You can explicitly resubscribe an account using this functionality.

### Unlink

If you want to remove this wallet, notification type or social media account from your RYP account, click unlink and it is removed. You can not remove your last account that has login capabilities, or last wallet, if you have no other linked accounts.

{% hint style="danger" %}
We will delete all configured notifications associated with the account and you will no longer be able to log in with it, if it is a login-enabled account type.
{% endhint %}

## Connect additional accounts

In this area you can add more accounts and wallets to your RYP account. You can always add additional wallets, but most other accounts are limited to one per type.

Simply click the type and follow the steps outlined to add the respective account or wallet.

# Notifications

Understanding the notifications area and what you can configure on it.

## Purpose

If you have one or more wallets connected, which is very likely if you are trying not to manually subscribe and unsubscribe from everything, then you may want some additional control over what news reach you and which not.

Maybe you have a trading wallet and you do not need news on things you are only holding for a few hours or days at a time, or maybe your cold wallet is staked with your own pool and you do not need updates from yourself?

On the notifications page, you can configure for which wallets you get notifications, and for which types of activities. You can see your current stake pool that you have delegated to, as well as your dReps. In addition, you can also configure which global notifications about on-chain events you would like to receive.

## Changing your settings

Turning off notifications for a specific wallet and type is as simple as toggling the respective switch on the matching wallet card. The following wallet has token notifications turned off, but will get updates on their stake pool and dRep.

<figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FlFluQZHyYfV0KVUvyNxw%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=7ed50fd0-89c6-4faa-912b-0f15b71b5d53" alt="A wallet settings form with three toggle buttons. One for token-based notifications that is turned off, one for Stake pool notifications that is turned on, and a disabled one for delegated representatives that has a soon tag below it."><figcaption><p>The settings of a wallet that does not receive token-based notifications, but updates from their stake pool operator.</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If you explicitly subscribe to a project, you will get notifications regardless of your wallet settings. The wallet settings control the default notification status for all items related to it, but do not override any custom settings for a project.
{% endhint %}

# Achievements

Why does RYP have achievements, and what you can do with them.

## Purpose

The achievements page gives you a look on all you have done on the platform, what is yet to get awarded for, and in the future, where you can claim your rewards.

While Reach Your People is a communications and outreach platform, incentivizing both users and projects to engage with each other, is at the heart of our solutions. In the future, projects will be able to reward users with off-chain or on-chain tokens, give out their own achievements based on things you do in RYP, and in general create a cohesive experience for their communities.

In addition to that, individual users and projects will also be able to gain benefits and participate in raffles or get [Black Edition](/your-account/premium) through achievements.

## Basics

The achievements page is simple to use, as it is currently just a way to see the existing awards and if you have managed to claim them, yet. There are Yes/No achievements like signing up, and achievements with progress indicators, like for referrals.

During our beta, for each referral up to the 50th, you will participate in that months NFT giveaway, for example - see our [giveaway dates](/your-account/accounts#share-reach-your-people-with-your-friends).

<figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FOxxtrujn4yM2obmSCT32%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=5018a927-9a66-43a8-9a75-d733d6b66bf1" alt="Two user interface cards with achievements, a registration achievement with 1/1 completed and a green person icon, and a referral achievement with 18 out of 50 completed and a share icon."><figcaption><p>Two achievements, one completed with a Yes/No type,<br>and a progress-based on with 18 out of 50 referrals completed.</p></figcaption></figure>

# Premium

A guide on Black Edition, and why having it will take your account to the next level.

## Purpose

Reach Your People is free for subscribers, and will remain so as long as it is possible for us to maintain it. That does not mean we do not have a few perks up our sleeves we would like to offer you, as well as give you the opportunity to support the project.

Our premium account model is called **Black Edition**. This is in line with our sibling product Vibrant. As advocates for cats and kittens all over the world, we named our best product Black Edition to share our love for black cats. They are often hard to adopt out because people believe they are bad luck. They could not be more wrong, and this is our nod to the void beasts. 🐈‍⬛

## Premium Benefits

{% hint style="info" %}
During the beta, premium benefits are limited, but we are adding additional capabilities all the time and are also encouraging users to reach out with what they think would be great features to have, free or not.
{% endhint %}

### No ads

As ads are common way for platforms like ours to sustain business, Premium will make it so you will never have to deal with unrequested advertisements from other providers or apps. This does not include announcements that include offers from projects you have subscribed to, of course, since those notifications are what you are here for in the first place. And if not, muting a project that advertises is always an option

### Custom referral link

Onboarding others is fun, and a great way to show your support already. It is an even bigger flex if you can do so with a custom referral link that showcases your pet's name, your ADA handle or a pun. Once you are a Black Edition member, you can simply go to your [referral section](/your-account/accounts#share-reach-your-people-with-your-friends) and edit your referral link, as shown below. Simply click the pencil to choose a new handle. You can change it as often as you like, and your existing referrals do not get lost if you switch the URL.

<figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FIbceGM4sDSDNzPEQrNu1%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b37f8f19-1c19-491f-9ce8-26a7764a3e4c" alt="The referral link UI with an additional edit button that is only accessible to premium users."><figcaption><p>Change your referral URL by clicking the pencil icon and then confirming with the checkmark button after making your adjustments.</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="warning" %}
We only allow 4-10 alphanumeric characters, and no swear words or otherwise problematic vocabulary. We reserve the right to revoke your custom referral link should you use it for derogatory behavior of any kind.
{% endhint %}

## Premium prices

During the beta a month of Black Edition will cost 15 ADA, and a whole year will be 2 months free with 150 ADA.

# Creating and verifying your project

Find the guide to help you create your project on RYP and how to verify it.

## Introduction

Most of our users are just here to stay informed and up-to-date on what is happening with projects and on chain. But for those of you that run a project of some sort, the ability able to reach people that own your token or NFT, are staked to your pool or otherwise engaged with you, without you creating a newsletter that people have to sign up for, can bring a new era of outreach. To be able to do this, the only thing you need to do is create a project and verify it, and this is what this guide is for.

## Project Types

The first step in being able to publish announcements and news with Reach Your People is to create a project. You will need to know what type of project you want to be categorized as, before you get started:

* Non-fungible token Project (NFT)
* Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
* Stake pool operator (SPO)
* Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO)
* Delegated Representative (dRep)
* Utility, Memes and other token-based projects (Other)

Regardless of the primary project type you select, you will later be able to verify additional components of your project. For example, if you are starting as a token-based project, but also run a stake pool, you can add the pool after the initial creation.

### Non-fungible token Project

This project type is right if you are a PFP collection with a Bitcoin mining operation attached, an art project for collectors, or another of the many flavors in which NFT collections play an important role. It does not matter if your collection has rarity or not, you will find all the tools to publish exactly for your use case.

### Decentralized Finance

Liquidity pools, lending protocols and anything else that provides access to decentralized finance solutions should pick this project type. It will make finding you easier and can unlock specific capabilities for DeFi project in the future.

### Stake pool operator

As a permissionless validator on the Cardano blockchain, you help run the network. We make it easy for you to confirm your pool, or even group multiple pools under one account - maybe you represent a Stake pool alliance. With this category, the feature set will be helping you reach your delegators and interested parties easier.

### Decentralized Autonomous Organization

As a DAO, your main goal is to give your members the ability to own the direction of your organization. Often times, this includes voting and governance by means of utility tokens. If this fits your project, we have the right capabilities to let you achieve your goals.

### Delegated Representative

Decentralized blockchains require decentralized approaches to decision-making. Delegated Representatives take on those responsibilities to represent the people on Cardano. If you are a dRep, we will make sure you have what you need to stay in touch with your constituency.

### Utility, Memes and other token-based projects

If your project has a token out there, for whatever purpose, and you do not see yourself in any of the other categories, then choose the Utility, Memes and other tokens category. Whatever you need to engage, entertain or enable your community, we can provide the right means.

## Creating your project

You can start the process of project creation by heading to <https://www.ryp.io/publish> and clicking **Create new project**.

Once you have started the creation process, you will be asked to select a project type according to our choices above:

<figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2F0NOlEjdWPvDOAHNu0S3R%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=393ba9d0-7f8b-4cb3-a44d-39e43ce4e83d" alt="A form with several options to select a project type"><figcaption><p>The project type selection screen</p></figcaption></figure>

## Verifying your project

For Stake pool operators and Delegated Representatives, the verification will be done as part of the project creation. For token-based projects, verification will either be manual after you have created your project, or, if your project is using [CIP-0066](https://github.com/cardano-foundation/CIPs/pull/294), automatic during publishing.

Below you can find the verification flow that is right for you:

* [Token-based project verification on Cardano](/creating-and-verifying-your-project/token-based-projects)
* [Stake pool verification](/creating-and-verifying-your-project/stake-pool-operator)

# Stake pool operator

A short guide about creating a project with stake pool verification on RYP

## Introduction

This guide is for stake pool operators on Cardano, that would like to verify their pool ownership, so they can send announcements to all RYP users that are staked to their pool and have not disabled pool-related announcements (see [Wallet settings](/your-account/notifications)).

The process is following the standard for Stake pool verification on Cardano, CIP-0022. You can read more about CIP-0022 in the official document at <https://cips.cardano.org/cip/CIP-22>.

## Prerequisites

To get your pool verified, you will need the following three items readily available

1. Your **pool hash in hex format** (not the bech32 version that starts with *pool1*).
2. Access to your **VRF signing and verification keys**. Your verification key needs to be available for you to upload in the browser you are using to verify your pool.
3. A version of the **cncli** command line tools installed wherever you have your VRF signing key.

You can find instructions on how to download and install the free node operators tool **cncli** here:

<https://github.com/cardano-community/cncli>

## Verification process

1. Navigate to the **Publish** area of RYP by going to <https://www.ryp.io/publish>

2. Click on **Create new project**

3. Select **SPO (Stake Pool Operator)**

4. On the following page, **enter your pool hash** in the first input field:<br>

   <figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FC6q7t3Pv90piAubpSr2A%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=16117348-1a51-43da-93b6-60e1e5ad195a" alt="A form input field containing a Cardano stake pool hash in hex format" width="375"><figcaption><p>A form input field containing a Cardano stake pool hash in hex format</p></figcaption></figure>

5. Your **pool details should automatically populate**. If they do not, you likely have an error in your pool hash or additional whitespace:<br>

   <figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2Fl0H2z4SASF1ZYy45VS91%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=624c3037-82db-467e-82c2-a899e939e919" alt="The automatically populated fields of a Stake pool registration form" width="375"><figcaption><p>The automatically populated fields of a Stake pool registration form</p></figcaption></figure>

6. **Select a logo** by dragging and dropping or clicking the logo panel below:<br>

   <figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FUPH0oONDCdUf7VZu9dBQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=c3c17b06-1777-436a-88e6-c8208cc5005b" alt="A form element where you can Click to upload a logo or drag a logo on it" width="375"><figcaption><p>A form element where you can Click to upload a logo or drag a logo on it</p></figcaption></figure>

7. ⚠️ Once your logo is selected, **you have five minutes to complete the verification process**. If you do not complete within five minutes, you will have to click the restart button next to the timer.<br>

   <figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FrFv4ajhiKhJjusRhI8XU%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=5a5916fa-481e-4ba7-869d-1fd201626f1b" alt="The verification timer and where the restart button will appear." width="161"><figcaption><p>The verification timer and where the restart button will appear.</p></figcaption></figure>

8. After uploading your logo, you will be shown a verification nonce, as well as a cncli command to run. **Click the button at the bottom to copy to the command to your clipboard**. Adjust the *\[vrf-signing-key-file]* part to the location of your VRF signing key and run the command:<br>

   <figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2Fbkb8FsXDdgwHvDteKDIj%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=752987ff-e2ec-42e1-b911-d62a9ee18196" alt="The SPO verification nonce to use, as well as a button to copy the cncli command to your clipboard." width="375"><figcaption><p>The SPO verification nonce to use, as well as a button to copy the cncli command to your clipboard.</p></figcaption></figure>

9. Once you have clicked the button, a new input field will appear. **Paste into it the signature part of the JSON output of the command you ran**, as shown below:<br>

   <figure><img src="https://975764316-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F13fPIi6czwSBcgD3fgBO%2Fuploads%2FIuVlh2zzpv4QFogHteH5%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=a672d090-1c93-4daa-95da-f7599667fea2" alt="Running the cncli command line gives you a signature in a JSON output format" width="375"><figcaption><p>Running the cncli command line gives you a signature in a JSON output format</p></figcaption></figure>

# Token-based projects

A short guide on the process of verifying your token-based project on Cardano

## Introduction

If you run a project that has tokens minted on Cardano, this guide is for you. Depending on what type of collection you have, you will either have minted a [CIP-0066](https://github.com/cardano-foundation/CIPs/pull/294) token as part of your initial collection creation, or will have to follow the manual verification process.

## Prerequisites

The required pieces of information for you to create a project are as follows:

1. Project Name
